Aero India 2021: HAL apresenta drones de combate
O destaque da HAL na Aero India 2021 é a formação de alas não tripulados.
O conceito Combat Air Teaming System (CATS) de loyal wingman (CATS Warrior), drones de enxame lançados do ar (CATS ALFA) e alas em forma de míssil de cruzeiro (CATS Hunter).
Tudo centrado na LCA Tejas como o principal produto da HAL no futuro. Segundo uma fonte, outros aviões também poderão ser equipados com os drones.
O Jaguar poderá levar 4 pods e cada pod carregará 6 drones hunter killers, fazendo um total de 24. Um Su-30 poderá levar de 30 a 40 drones de ataque.
Cada vez mais a guerra será de botões. E remotamente controlada. Os novos caças na verdade serão drones. Quem pensa num 6ª geração tripulado, já pensa no passado. Na verdade, o conceito de 6ª geração será mesmo o de avião autônomo.
nao e’ o que esta acontecendo com os projetos tripulados da Europa (2), Russia (1), Japao (1), EUA (2, USAF e Navy) e ate boatos da China. E esses paises estao desenvolvendo UCAVs para complementa-los, nao para substitui-los totalmente.
Só lembre que quando os primeiros misseis apareceram, também falaram o mesmo; assim como também quando as ogivas nucleares deram suas caras e se vc voltar mais um pouco, quando as metralhadoras dominaram o campo de batalha na IGM falaram o mesmo.
Para cada avanço, a outro empurrando ele para trás. Mais importante que drone ou avião é vc vencer a guerra EW hj em dia. Se vc tiver meios de EW mais fortes que seu adversário, drones, misseis e aviões são acessórios apenas.

Interessante que ele tem um design furtivo, aqui no Brasil nada sobre a compra do Atobá, aquela proposta da Turbomachine, que é fenomenal, nem sinal de interesse do governo. FINEP devia dar mais ajuda ao setor de defesa.

IMO I don’t think it look like Rafale , the differences are many.
The similarities are subtle mostly due to cognitive visual bias .
A maquete parece um desenho inovador, também gostei do desenho.

TEDBF will be a larger aircraft than Rafale. It’s MTOW is 1.5 tons higher than Rafale M. It’s 16.3 m long vs 15. 27 m length of Rafale.
It’s unfolded wingspan is 11.2 metres vs 10.9 m of Rafale . So it will be having a much larger wing area. Rafale has a wing area of 45.7 metre square.

It is technology demonstrator called Stealth Wing Flying Testbed (SWiFT) in order to test technologies for GHATAK UCAV.
SWiFT is powered by a single NPO Saturn 36MT turbofan engine.
GHATAK UCAV as per ADA description is a stealth winged self defending high speed reconnaissance combat UAV . It weights around 15 tons and will be powered by a dry Kaveri engine variant, which will have a thrust of 52 KN. It will also employ a fluid thrust vectoring method.

There will be no prototypes , from 1st aircraft onwards all will production standard aircraft .

Nesse ano talvez não, mas se a situação normalizar um pouco em 2022 talvez o Brasil e a Índia firmem uma parceria não apenas para um porta aviões mas também para os meios embarcados. Diferentes do Xing Ling, os Indianos desenvolveram seus meios e equipamentos através de pesquisa conjunta e não copia descarada e o fato de atualmente o Brasil não estar de 4 para a China como nos últimos 20 anos, ajuda a parcerias.

Hi Nostra, do you know if the pilot on LCH seats on the front, or on the rear seat ? It seems to me that the rear seat vision is impaired by the cockpit structure.
Pilot is in front seat .
Rear seat visibility is also OK for flying the LCH. Dual controls are there.
