O Poder Aéreo esteve no National Naval Aviation Museum, o maior museu de aviação naval do mundo, em Pensacola – Florida.

O museu conta com uma coleção de cerca de 150 aeronaves da Navy, Marine Corps, e Coast Guard aviation.

Aeronaves icônicas da História da Aviação estão presentes, tanto na parte externa como na parte interna do museu.

Por exemplo, quem se lembra daquele C-130 Hercules que fez decolagens e pousos no porta-aviões USS Forrestal? pois é, este avião está lá exposto na parte externa no museu (veja foto dele no final deste post), juntamente com outras aeronaves da Segunda Guerra e Guerra Fria.

A visita ao pátio externo com os aviões na linha de voo é feita em um ônibus, que passa pelos aviões bem devagar para dar tempo do pessoal tirar fotos.

C-130 BuNo 149798, um KC-130F de reabastecimento em voo, única aeronave do seu tipo e a pousar e decolar de porta-aviões. Em 1963 fez vários pousos e decolagens a bordo do porta-aviões USS Forrestal (CVA-59)
