Voou no dia 7 de junho o primeiro Airbus Military C295 de Alerta Aéreo Antecipado e Controle. O rotodome (antena de radar em formato de disco) usado sobre a fuselagem ainda é fixo, usado apenas para verificar o impacto da estrutura nas características de voo. O rotodome verdadeiro será rotativo, com cobertura de 360 graus.

A aeronave será equipada com o FITS – Fully Integrated Tactical System, que integrará todos os sensores.
